Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities Now Available

All Families in FGFA are required to complete SIX hours of volunteer time.

When you log in to DIBS (our volunteer sign up format) you will find the name of your oldest child in our program under FGFA Volunteers.  You will also see Tiger Clubhouse, with a required hours of 2 hours - PLEASE NOTE:  you only need to complete SIX hours, but you may choose to complete these hours at either the Tiger Clubhouse or at any FGFA tournament.  Once you complete SIX hours, our volunteer coordinator will mark you completed and remove the Tiger Clubhouse requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our organization is run 100% with volunteers.  Without volunteers we would not have a program for your child.  Board members and coordinators put in over 100+ hours a year to keep this program running and growing.

FAQ:  If my child is in In-House or Rec, why do I have to volunteer for the Travel tournament, a tournament that my child is not participating in?

Answer:  Our travel program is a large fundraiser for our program.  The Frenzy tournament brings in income for our program to pay for equipment, field improvements and programs that benefit ALL levels - inhouse, rec and travel.

FAQ:  Why do I have to complete 6 hours when inhouse baseball only requires 2?

Answer:  Our program has about 200 participants to inhouse baseball's 800.  We base our volunteer hours on our needs.  If our program participants increase we certainly would be able to reduce the commitments.

FAQ:  If I volunteer for Baseball can that count towards Softball?

Answer:  No, our organziations are seperate organizations.  We may work together, but each organization sets their own fees and requirements for each program.

The Board of Directors welcomes all suggestions for improving our program.  If you would like to get involved please talk to a board member or attend a board meeting.  Meeting times and location are found on the Board of Directors tab here on our website.
